Krueger and Schmitz Cargobull unveil new B-double

It’s arguably been the most discussed trailer development at the Brisbane Truck Show – the unveiling of the first-ever jointly developed Krueger Transport Equipment/ Schmitz Cargobull trailer.

The 2015 Brisbane Truck Show held a rare treat for Australian transport: On day one of the event, Andreas Schmitz, Member of the Schmitz Cargobull Board and one of the most influential people in global trailer building, officially unveiled the first jointly developed refrigerated multi-combination vehicle to the Australian public.

For many a show visitor, seeing a European €1.5 billion family business publically commit to Australian manufacturing proved to be the highlight of the Queensland event – and judging from initial feedback, the young Joint Venture also managed to leave a mark commercially.

One reason why the launch has been hailed such a success may have been that Krueger CEO Andrew Arapakis and National Sales Manager, Grant Krueger, took the time to personally present the vehicle to fleet representatives and the media, alongside special guest Andreas Schmitz and Schmitz Cargobull Australia’s Managing Director, Michael Temminghoff.
