All about service

No matter the transport operation, be it big or small, Victorian trailer builder, Krueger Transport Equipment, provides a comprehensive service and repairs offering to help get customers back on the road as quickly as possible.

For any commercial road transport operation, purchasing trailer equipment represents a significant investment. And when it comes to looking after and servicing trailer equipment, it’s important to have confidence in those tasked with the job at hand.

Combining over 40 years of knowledge and experience in trailer manufacturing, Krueger Transport Equipment is a privately owned and operated trailer OEM that prides itself on taking a hands-on approach and providing exceptional customer service. Together with its innovative trailer design and manufacture, Krueger also offers a full range of trailer service and repairs, servicing all trailer brands and models.

Regular trailer servicing not only helps to minimise costly downtime due to breakdowns, it can also help to ensure equipment is performing at its best. Trailer maintenance services offered by Krueger include axle alignment, axle replacement, suspension repairs, straightening and re-cambering of axles, bearing replacement, brake adjustment and relining, laser wheel alignment and shock absorber replacement, to name a few. Krueger also offers load restraint curtain retrofits, Slide-a-Gate retrofits, curtain replacement and repairs, curtain sider conversions, full refurbishments, rollover rebuilds, roadworthy inspections, sand blasting and painting, spring to air suspension conversions, B-double conversions and more.

Trailer servicing and repairs are offered through Krueger’s three branches, located in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane; and through its agents in South Australia and Western Australia “At Krueger, we offer our customers a complete suite of service packages that range from minor servicing to full rebuilds or smash repairs,” says Craig Wallace, National Aftermarket Manager at Krueger Transport Equipment. “We are always investing back into our workshops to ensure we have the best equipment so our staff can get the job done as efficiently and safely as possible.”

Krueger’s service technicians undergo ongoing training and development to ensure they are up to date with any new trailer advancements or innovations. “Personal training development programs are available to all employees to help them grow in potential. All of our technicians also go through extensive training annually on all major axle and suspension brands,” adds Craig. “The people who work in and run our workshops have a background in the trailer business, so they have the knowledge and experience to effectively cater to the needs of our customers. This, combined with our commitment to offering training and development opportunities to our staff ensures that our workshops provide a safe working environment to employees and customers alike.”

Krueger understands that in the transport game, time off the road can equate to significant costs for transport operators. To help keep its transport customers on the road, Krueger has a broad range of trailers available for customers to hire through its trailer rentals division while major servicing or smash repairs are carried out. The rental division includes single and B-double curtain siders, skels and flat tops.

Krueger offers full onsite servicing, with both onsite and break down services available at each of the company’s workshop sites across the country. Adding to the offering, Krueger has a trailer pick up and drop off service, and offers extended working hours to best meet its customers needs. The business also provides immediate engineering and technical back up and support; has dedicated spare parts departments to support Krueger branded trailers; and reports and records all servicing that is carried out. This is also kept and stored on file.

Craig adds that Krueger’s service division is a leader in EBS trailer diagnostics. To add, its workshops are VicRoads and RMS accredited for inspections and roadworthy compliance.

“At Krueger, we have a passion and drive to be the best service providers we can be for our customers,” says Craig. “We treat all of our customers with the same high levels of service and support regardless of whether it’s an owner-operator, a small fleet or a multi national.”
