Axalta has opened a new regional distribution warehouse, service centre and state-of-the-art customer training facility in Sydney, allowing the global coatings company to better service its customers locally.

Axalta officially opened its Australia and New Zealand regional multi-functional facility in early February 2019. In the Australian market, Axalta supplies paints and coatings for commercial vehicles, industrial applications and the automotive repair sector; with each of these divisions represented at the new facility.

Located in Marsden Park, Western Sydney, it features regional corporate offices, a customer training facility, and a warehouse and distribution centre. The 5,300 square metre space will enable higher quality and faster service for customers throughout the region, providing them with greater access to Axalta’s broad selection of advanced coating technologies and products.

“This new facility is a significant milestone for Axalta and all of our customers in the region,” says Robert Bryant, CEO of Axalta. “It demonstrates our confidence in the growing Australian and New Zealand markets and creates an important opportunity to be closer to our customers under one roof.”

At the new Axalta facility, a training centre will be opening later this year, allowing customers to be shown the latest spraying application systems that use less energy and reduce waste, have a fast-drying finish, and use superior colour matching technologies. “Axalta is a world leader in Refinish and consistently invests in enhancing our capabilities, facilities, and training to help customers grow their businesses,” says Steven Brett, Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand, Axalta.

“We are excited about our new training centre, opening soon, which will enhance our training capabilities in the region, and that we can now offer the most efficient warehousing and distribution methods all from this terrific new facility.” 

Axalta’s commitment to innovation, training and offering the latest technology in its products, have resulted in a loyal customer base. Victorian trailer builder, Krueger Transport Equipment, is among the brand’s loyal customers, having exclusively used the brand’s paints and coatings across its trailer range for over a decade.
