BPW becomes standard choice for NSW fleet

New South Wales-based Mullown Bulk Haulage Contracting keeps its sand transport task hassle-free by using equipment from BPW Transpec as standard throughout its fleet.

The Central Coast’s undulating sand dunes have a magnitude that is hard to miss. Located about 200km north from Sydney, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest moving dunes in the Port Stephens region of New South Wales are celebrated by various adrenaline-seeking collectives from quad bikers to sandboarding enthusiasts.

From a less extreme – albeit no less enthusiastic – perspective, construction and landscaping firms in Newcastle and Sydney also desire the pristine sand for their customers. Delivering the goods is the daily task of transport companies like Woodberry-based Mullown Bulk Haulage Contracting. Company owner, Mick Mulligan, oversees a yard of 10 tipper combinations pulled by Kenworth prime movers that run Mullown’s bulk orders of sand up and down the coast.

Mullown has taken on the sandy cargo for 15 years since Mick bought his first tipper in 2002. Using the experience gained over a lifetime in the transport industry, Mick says the growth of his bulk haulage fleet has been a natural progression.
