ARRB engages in WA road innovation program

  • Posted on Thursday 11th, July 2019.

The Western Australia Road Research Innovation Program (WARRIP) has been extended until 2023 under a new agreement between ARRB - Australian Road Research Board - and Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA).

The signing ceremony was held last month with ARRB CEO, Michael Caltabiano and MRWA Managing Director, Peter Woronzow.

“The agreement aligns with the strategic goals of both organisations and recognises Main Roads’s desire to focus on road infrastructure-related research,” ARRB said in a statement. “It will enable Main Roads to significantly increase the capability and effectiveness of its specialist technical areas and deliver excellence and better value from every dollar spent.”

WARRIP aims to deliver engineering excellence through the conduct of leading road technology research that welcomes innovation and private sector participation, and drives more efficient road management practice through the implementation of fit-for-purpose engineering solutions.
