BPW to unveil product developments in Brisbane

  • Posted on Thursday 9th, May 2019.

After the successful market implementation of the new Eco Plus 3 hub sealing system as well as the light weight drum option in 2018, equipment specialist, BPW Transpec, is going live with another bundle of product innovations, which all will be on display at the 2019 Brisbane Truck Show.

From September onwards BPW will have lightweight aluminium hubs available for its 10-stud 285 PCD axles (available for drum and disc).

The weight saving around 20 kilograms per axle line is significant and will support the market for lightweight application, specifically for tippers and tankers, according to BPW Transpec.

The new BPW TS2 is available in two sizes (4309 and 3709) and will become the company’s future standard, having passed local ADR approvals.

“In combination with the positive feedback received from customers currently testing the completely re-designed one tappet caliper, we are progressively changing production in the third quarter this year,” said BPW Transpec Engineering Manager, Ian Thomson. “Have a look at the cross sectioned model on our stand and you will be surprised of the simplicity and robustness of the new disc brake.”

In addition to those new products, BPW Transpec will also display its self-steer trailer axle.

“This is well proven to be the most reliable product in the market offering the best cornering abilities for trailers tested under the harshest operational environments such as in the milk transport industry,” said Thomson.

BPW’s air-operated Ringfeder coupling with anti-jack-knifing system as well as its heavy haulage swivel axle will complement the company’s product portfolio on display at the Brisbane Truck Show.

BPW Transpec will be exhibiting at the Brisbane Truck Show, 16-19 May 2019, at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (Foyer – 071).
