Cochrane’s completes depot upgrade

  • Posted on Tuesday 12th, June 2018.

South Australian transport company, Cochrane’s, has upgraded its Port Augusta depot to boost road freight efficiencies.

“The upgrade of our Port Augusta depot is now complete, featuring a large canopy and concrete hardstand capable of dealing with the 5-6 B-doubles moving through each night,” Cochrane’s said in a statement.

“We have also upgraded to low energy LED high bay lighting.

“Our site also now has its own 35,000 litre diesel fuel tank, which when combined with the same in our Whyalla depot, gives us fuel security to ensure continuity of service should the need arise.

“With the Port Augusta site servicing multiple runs to Ceduna, Roxby Downs, Leigh Creek and the Mid-North as well as being a key junction for linehaul to Whyalla and Port Lincoln, the upgrade and expansion will further enhance our service capabilities and work environment for staff.

“Thanks to McMahon Constructions and Perry's Fuel for the part they played and all of the team in Port Augusta for being patient with the disruption during construction.”
