CTI Logistics acquires WA-based freight forwarder

  • Posted on Thursday 31st, May 2018.

Transport and logistics business, CTI Logistics, has agreed to acquire Western Australia-based regional freight carrier, Stirling Freight Express for $4.5 million, with settlement scheduled for 2 July.

CTI Logistics said in a statement that it has been long-time service partners with Stirling, which operates depots in Perth, Albany, Bunbury, Geraldton, Merredin and Kalgoorlie, and provides overnight services to the majority of the South-West of Western Australia.

CTI Logistics will merge Stirling Freight Express into its existing regional freight network, strengthening its service offering and generating significant operational efficiencies, including the amalgamation of the existing freight consolidation bases in Perth, Bunbury and Albany.

“The acquisition strengthens our position in the regional freight market, to offer regular services to all major centres and towns throughout the northwest and southwest of Western Australia,” said CTI Logistics.

In February, CTI Logistics moved from Laverton North to a new distribution centre in West Park Industrial Estate in Truganina, west of Melbourne.
