Family-owned Queensland logistics company, DNV Transport, will soon move to a new location at Port of Brisbane’s Port West industrial estate in Lytton with the two parties agreeing terms for a 1.05 hectare site.

DNV Transport – a business that specialises in containerised movements throughout the south-east Queensland area – has signed a lease term of 10 years plus two five-year options.

The 1.05ha site will comprise a 1,500-square-metre warehouse, 404-square-metre covered wash bay, 220-square-metre covered workshop and office area of 300 square metres. The site will also include 6,360 square metres of container-rated dedicated hardstand, six reefer charging points and six 40-foot fumigation pads.

Port of Brisbane CEO, Roy Cummins, welcomed the agreement and said the Port was pleased to be able to work DNV Transport and help bring them closer to the wharves and terminals.

“DNV Transport has operated within the broader port precinct since 2011,” he said. “We are delighted to be part of its growth story and to work with them to design and deliver a modern, purpose-built facility that will deliver superior efficiency and safety outcomes and increase its operating capability.”

Construction is due to commence in late-2019 and targeting mid-2020 completion, with a total construction cost estimated at approximately $5.3 million.

DNV Transport will join a thriving Port West industrial estate comprising six national and global port-related businesses.
