Hiab delivers for CMV customer

  • Posted on Monday 6th, March 2017.

Waste transport company, Love A Dump, has taken delivery of a new Hiab Multilift XR21Z.51 Power Range Hooklift fitted to a new UD 24 280 6x4 truck.

According to Love A Dump, the new vehicle will be used removing materials from Love A Dump’s customer sites and depositing them at its own recycling and waste transfer plant in Hastings, Victoria.

“It’s very easy to operate and enables us to quickly shuttle bins from site to site, including picking up empty bins from our storage depot in Cheltenham,” said Ash Buckley, Love A Dump co-Owner.

“Overall, the Hiab Multilift Hooklift has blended in seamlessly with Love A Dump’s operation and based on our initial feedback in the two months we’ve had it in service, the equipment is the most user and OH&S-friendly on the market.”

Love A Dump’s latest order was completed by UD Trucks dealership, CMV Truck & Bus in Dandenong, which fitted the Hiab hooklift to the 24 280 truck, reportedly the first of its type to be sold and delivered in Australia.

“It is special as it’s our first time offering a 280hp 6x4 in this size with this transmission and configuration on a Japanese truck,” said James Goodchap, UD Trucks Area Sales Manager. “It has an Allison 3500 auto transmission and Meritor rear axle set with diff lock and cross lock.”
