Innovative trailer first for Australia

A Yatala business has imported a new integrated lift trailer that is suitable for a range of uses including roadside breakdown assistance, workshop repairs and caryard displays.

Although currently used throughout Europe, the trailer is a first for Australia and will soon be promoted by McNeills Trailers and Sheds. Named the Trailer-Lift™, this new trailer is manufactured by the MMC Group in the UK and patented and fully CE certified.

What makes the trailer so unique is that it can transport vehicles and lift them in the air for display, inspection and repairs. It can lift trailers to a height of 2.5 metres in less than 35 seconds via remote control and the lift can be stopped at any point so that the vehicle can be serviced or repaired at the most convenient height.

Owner of the new trailer, Sandy Docherty, purchased the trailer supported by funding from equipment financier GoGetta and said that the trailer had the capacity to transform the industry.
Sandy commented, “It offers mobile mechanics and roadside assistance operators a new level of safety and performance. They can genuinely take the workshop to the customer now.”

GoGetta Chief Executive Officer Charles Gregory said the arrival of the trailer to Australia also marked a first for the company’s unique funding model.

“This is the first time GoGetta’s equipment funding model has been tailored to suit the motoring and mechanical industry,” Charles said.

The model originally delivered success in the hospitality industry and was recently tailored to support operators in the construction and earthmoving sectors.

Sandy added that the GoGetta funding model would allow his customers access to the new lift trailer without risk. If the trailer doesn’t work for their business, it can be returned without penalty.

“Over the past few years it has been tough to secure finance,” he said. “I have used GoGetta for 18 months now. They have really helped me to expand my business and I am pleased to work with them in offering this trailer to the market.

Sandy said it had taken 12 months to bring the integrated lift trailer to Australia and that he was keen to show the industry what the equipment was capable of.
