  • Posted on Thursday 6th, June 2019.

Commercial vehicle weigh-in monitoring association, International Society for Weigh-In-Motion, has announced the election of its new Board and Executive Board.

Former Transport Certificate Association CEO, Chris Koniditsiotis, was reappointed as President.

ISWIM is an advocacy group that supports the advance of on-road and in-vehicle Weigh-In-Motion (WIM) to promote and support international research and development projects.

The purpose of the group is to initiate and monitors standardisation activities while also promoting the use and application of data generation.

At present ISWIM has a growing membership of over 74 countries.

Its distinct stakeholder groups include users of WIM and the information it collects; academics and researchers in WIM technology and its associated data; vendors that provide WIM products and/or services.

In May 2019, the Board of ISWIM was elected through an international vote with members from Belgium, Taiwan, France, Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, Czech Republic, USA, Slovenia and Australia, represented by Koniditsiotis.

"We also acknowledge and thank Hans Van LOO who was elected to the Board, however, stepped down to take on the role of ISWIM Contractor," ISWIM said in an issued statement.

Adriana Antofie was appointed as Assistant Treasurer.
