Kalmar to bolster ACFS Port Logistics’ container handling operations

Materials handling equipment manufacturer, Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has won an order to provide mobile equipment to ACFS Port Logistics, supporting its container handling operations in Adelaide, Fremantle and Melbourne.

According to Kalmar, this order comprises three DCG100 empty container handlers and two DRG450- reachstackers, which has been booked into Cargotec 2018 Q2 order intake.

ACFS Port Logistics is the largest privately owned container operator in Australia. With extensive knowledge and experience across the warehousing, transport and freight logistic sectors. Kalmar reviewed ACFS' operations and offered several suggestions to improve efficiencies and safety on the site, including the introduction of a greater lift capacity over the second rail line as well as elevated cabin heights for the DCG empty container handler to improve operator visibility.
