Krueger completes expansion phase two

  • Posted on Thursday 5th, September 2019.

Victorian trailer builder, Krueger Transport Equipment, has doubled its capacity across the business as part of an ongoing series of expansions.

The project, according to Managing Director John Krueger, was delivered under time and under budget. He attributes the success of the expansion to the relentless passion for improvement of the strongest leadership team in the industry.

In 2017, Krueger Transport Equipment embarked on phase one of a three-phase plan to deliver “the best trailer manufacturing business in Australia, focusing on quality, innovation and customer service”.

Phase one restructured Krueger’s manufacturing and aftermarket facilities and processes, significantly increasing the output quality to deliver exceptional trailers for the Australian market.

Phase two delivered a 100 per cent increase in capacity through building expansion and improvements to the layout of the production and service facilities across the country. This along with an increase in resources across the business has delivered strength and success to the bottom line according to Krueger.

The under time and under budget implementation of phase two has enabled Krueger to bring forward the investment and implementation of phase three of the plan – the introduction of the SAP Business One ERP system and the associated process improvements. The systems and process changes are reported to be well underway and are currently ahead of time and budget with the plan to deliver this calendar year – six months ahead of schedule.

John Krueger said he is proud of his team’s achievements and looks forward to the continuing success of the business.
