Transport and logistics provider, Lindsay Australia, has reported a positive half-year result with an 8.5 per cent increase in profit to $5.94 million and 4.9 per cent increase in revenue to $177.1 million.
According to Lindsay Australia, both its Rural and Transport divisions experienced growth, with an increase of $5.42 million in revenue for Rural and $1.83 million increase in Transport, mostly due to growth in Lindsay Fresh Logistics import and export sales.
"Poor weather conditions in Northern Queensland had a negative impact on freight revenue," the company said in an ASX report.
"However, the decline in this region was offset by growth in others including Adelaide and South East Queensland. Achieving this result demonstrates the resilience of the Lindsay network and a diverse customer base."
