NatRoad has announced that it will support this year's Women in Industry Awards with sponsorship of the Excellence in Road Transport category.
The Women in Industry awards are dedicated to ensuring that the achievements of women in the industrial and road transport sectors are recognised and celebrated. These awards recognise women who are driving change in industry and – in doing so – breaking down barriers and creating new possibilities for the next generation.
Launched at the 2016 Awards, the first Excellence in Road Transport Award was won by Melissa Taylor of Taylor's Removals (pictured right).
"The implementation of the first Excellence in Road Transport Award last year was a huge success," said Bianca Dohnt, Editor of Trailer Magazine (pictured left), who presented the inaugural award.
"It is fantastic to see support for the Awards grow, as they are an important way to recognise the vital contributions from women across Australian industries – not just in road transport, but also in mining, manufacturing and engineering."
Nominations for this years' award are open until 30 April and can be made online. Further information about Women in Industry is soon to be announced, with an exciting new addition to be made for the Awards' fourth year.
