Wacol-based trailer manufacturer Drake Trailers has unveiled a new extendable 3x4 tilt slide along with its 4x4 hybrid steering widener float at the biennial Brisbane Truck Show.

“In recent years, we have seen a high demand for smaller, versatile floats that can transport a variety of cargo from containers to small vehicles, machinery to palletised freight,” said Drake General Manager, Khali Lake.

“That’s why we began modifying some of our existing models, adding some new features and now have a solid range of smaller to medium sized trailers and the 3x4s are a prime example of that.

“The client can technically overload the trailer if in a controlled situation. We think it’s a smart, well-engineered design is targeted at customers that need to transport a diverse range of items.

“For example, if the customer is working on a private site and needs to move heavy equipment or several items in one load, they can accomplish that.”

The Drake stand also included its vast range of merchandise including diecast scale models of its trailers, belt buckles, jackets, leather bags and general product support, as well as an audio and visual demonstration of its trailers in action.
