Pumpa Manufacturing signs Bottom Dump Trailer deal

  • Posted on Tuesday 11th, July 2017.

Swan Hill-based trailer manufacturer, Pumpa Manufacturing, has announced a new deal with US, Wilson Trailer Company, to build its bottom dumper trailers under licence locally in Australia.

According to Pumpa Manufacturing Sales Manager, Jason King, the first B-double grain bottom dumper is on order, and will be completed in time for this year's harvest.

"Wilson bottom dumpers are a light weight, durable and productive solution, tailored for transporting grain to the ports," King told Trailer Magazine.

"They're the future of grain movement as they carry more payload and are a safer operation than alternatives."

King said the Wilson design will be manufactured at its facility in Swan Hill, Victoria.

"We are a leader in Australian manufacturing, and will be able to adapt and change the American design of Wilson bottom dumpers to make them more Australian, giving axle and suspension options, or under the Performance-Based Standards Scheme," King said.

"The Wilson bottom dumper complements Pumpa Manufacturing's bulk range of end tippers and walking floors, we are very excited to add the trailer model to our portfolio."
