  • Posted on Friday 30th, August 2013.

Transport and logistics giant, Linfox, has announced the retirement of President Fleet and Procurement, Ray Gamble.

“After 35 years of loyal service to our company, we’re saddened to announce the retirement of Ray Gamble – President, Fleet and Procurement, effective 30 August 2013,” a spokesperson for Linfox said.

Ray’s accomplishments include the formation of strategic alliances with Australia’s leading truck manufacturers and the procurement of large equipment orders specified to meet growing Linfox service demands.

He has worked closely with Managing Directors and engineering staff to ensure equipment in Linfox’s distinctive colour scheme would deliver reliability for clients nationally and overseas.

In July, Gamble oversaw one of Linfox’s biggest deals, when the company purchased 55 Scania P-Series 440 hp SCR prime movers for its Victoria and New South Wales operations.
