Robert Smedley to present ‘PBS Training 101’

  • Posted on Thursday 10th, October 2019.

The Victorian Transport Association (VTA) and the Australian Road Transport Suppliers Association (ARTSA) are hosting a training course on Performance-Based Standards (PBS) later this month.

‘PBS Training 101’ will be held 23 October from 8.30am to 12.30pm, followed by a light lunch, at Kooringa Way, Webb Dock.

“The PBS scheme offers the potential for heavy vehicle operators to achieve higher productivity and improved safety through innovative vehicle designs,” the event organisers said in a statement. “Gain a competitive advantage by attending the course and fully understanding the benefits of these Australian designed and manufactured vehicles.”

The course – to be presented by Smedley’s Engineers Director and Senior Engineer, Robert Smedley – is aimed at operators of PBS vehicles and those thinking about PBS.

Attendees will receive practical information on PBS and guidance on opportunities to minimise purchasing risks.
