SA heavy vehicle bypass improves B-double freight efficiency

  • Posted on Monday 13th, November 2017.

The South Australian Government has confirmed that the Eudunda heavy vehicle bypass has been completed, filling a gap in the state’s 26m B-double trucking network.

The bypass links the Worlds End and Thiele Highways, improving freight movement efficiencies for the grain and livestock industries.

“Road transport solutions like this will not only benefit South Australia’s agriculture sector, but also our regions and broader economy,” said Regional Development Minister, Geoff Brock. “It reduces the distance and time spent on the road transporting products and livestock, and should remove many of these larger vehicles from the township.”

The Australian Government recently approved federal funding to help carry out regional road upgrades across South Australia.
