Sadleirs announces national expansion

Lionel Samson Sadleirs Group has announced plans to implement a fully integrated end-to-end Oracle Cloud solution ahead of a national expansion that will see it double its business.

According to Lionel Samson Sadleirs Group, it has collaborated with cloud IT specialist, PrimeQ, to become the first transportation company in Australia to implement a fully integrated end-to-end Oracle Cloud solution ahead of the national expansion.

“Sadleirs’ growth strategy involves doubling the business in a relatively short period of time with our existing personnel. To achieve this, we need to transform our current IT infrastructure,” said Sadleirs Chief Executive Officer, Ian Kent (pictured).

“We have many disparate legacy systems in the business and historically this has restricted our ability to grow. We are now seeking to streamline and enhance our customer experience and have engaged PrimeQ to provide a ‘best in breed’ Oracle solution.”

The PrimeQ solution will reportedly incorporate Oracle Customer Experience (CX), Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Oracle Warehouse Management (WMS), Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and Oracle Cloud Business Intelligence.

“Customers are the most important part of Sadleirs’ business,” Kent said.

“With PrimeQ’s expertise we will be able to better streamline and automate processes, and extract an increased level of business intelligence that will help us deliver on our customers’ expectations.”

PrimeQ CEO, Andrew McAdams, said Sadleirs would be able to offer a significantly enhanced customer experience by moving its transportation management system to the Cloud.

“The logistics industry in Australia is typically characterised by older information technology,” McAdams said.

“By replacing its legacy system with a cloud-based solution, Sadleirs will benefit from lower capital costs and rapid implementation times as well as greater delivery efficiencies.

“These efficiencies will extend across all areas of the Sadleirs business, from the streamlining and optimisation of fleet through to the automating of administrative activities.

“PrimeQ will use cloud technology to support Sadleir’s commitment to deliver a personalised approach to each customer and help the organisation to develop and deliver new services for its customers.

“PrimeQ is pleased to help Sadleirs preserve its history, values and customer service focus using the benefits of modern cloud technology.”

Sadleirs’ Oracle Cloud system is expected to go live in May 2018.

The company employs over 370 people and operates nationally with depot facilities in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
