Silk Contract Logistics joins Roe Highway Logistics Park

Warehousing and logistics company, Silk Contract Logistics, has been announced as the latest tenant to join Roe Highway Logistics Park.

Located in Perth’s eastern industrial core, Roe Highway Logistics Park is a 56-hectare development located adjacent to the State Government’s Kenwick Rail Freight Facility and offering RAV 7 truck accessibility from both Roe Highway and Tonkin Highway.

The logistics park was launched in late February and has reportedly experienced strong demand with over 50 per cent of the site already committed or under negotiation.

In addition to Silk, major tenants and businesses include Northline, BP and Fuwa K-Hitch.

Signing a long-term lease, Silk has taken up a four-hectare lot at the industrial park with a custom-built 21,000-square-metre warehouse to be constructed. Occupancy is scheduled for early 2020.

Linc Property development contact, Judd Dyer, said the recent Silk commitment continues to reinforce the demand for land, logistics and warehousing solutions with existing and future tenants citing the unparalleled combination of RAV 7 access to major arterial freight routes, proximity to freight rail, site flexibility and the core location as a key differentiator.

“In addition to the best access of any industrial site in Perth, we are able to offer tenants and buyers flexible lot sizes with custom-designed warehouses to suit their individual needs,” said Dyer.

The project is committed to delivering the highest environmental standards, with a range of initiatives including extensive tree planning, conservation of Forest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoo roost habitat, best practice storm water management, on-site treatment and recycling of waste water and solar energy.

Roe Highway Logistics Park has been developed by a consortium comprising Western Australia’s largest private industrial land developer Linc Property, warehouse leasing specialist Gibb Group and Minderoo Group.
