TCA to support upcoming Freight Week

  • Posted on Wednesday 28th, August 2013.

Transport Certification Australia (TCA) has announced it will be a key participant in Freight Week 2013, an event co-hosted by the Victorian Transport Association (VTA) and the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) running from 2-6 September 2013.

“TCA recognises the effort of the VTA and the VACC in organising this major event, which promises to generate discussion across a range of topics critical to the freight and logistics sectors,” said TCA Chief Executive Officer, Chris Koniditsiotis.

“TCA will be prominent throughout the week, highlighting how the use of intelligent technologies can reshape the way we think about driving productivity and safety reforms.

“The event will also provide attendees with the opportunity to meet key TCA personnel, who will be in attendance.

“TCA is also proud to be sponsoring the ‘Australian Transport and Logistics Technology Award’ at the 24th Australian Freight Industry Awards, which is being held on the evening of 7 September.”

The Award will identify the individual, group or organisation that has applied innovation/technology systems to their business to enhance productivity or solve a problem resulting in a positive outcome.

“TCA welcomes the opportunity to recognise – and indeed promote – technology-based innovations that can deliver real results in the transport and logistics sectors,” Koniditsiotis said.
