Toll welcomes graduate program inductees

  • Posted on Tuesday 17th, July 2018.

Transport and logistics company, Toll Group, held inductions last week in Auckland, Melbourne and Singapore to welcome this year’s Graduate Program participants.

The graduates reportedly heard from senior managers across the Toll’s business, and took part in workshops to help develop their skills in communication, innovation and working effectively.

The program was established in 2017 to provide selected candidates an opportunity to launch their careers in logistics. Over the past two years, participants have engaged in rotations that expose them to different areas of Toll’s business including Global Logistics, Global Forwarding and Global Express.

Two of the Australian graduates will reportedly relocate to work in Tokyo with parent company, Japan Post, while four Japan Post trainees have also joined the program.

Christie Hill, one of the 27 new graduates enrolled in Toll’s 2018 Graduate Program, said that it is the global nature of logistics that makes her excited to join the industry.

“You learn skills and processes that are applicable all over the world and across multiple industries,” said Hill. “Every day I meet so many diverse and highly skilled people.”

University of Auckland graduate, Bryony Smith, has joined the program with Toll in New Zealand.

“I can’t wait to get stuck into the rotations and learn as much as possible,” said Smith. “I’m looking forward to taking part in some of the operational sides of Toll. It will be great to get a deeper understanding of the different divisions and some practical, hands-on experience.”
