Vawdrey unveils new solar-powered rooftop system

  • Posted on Wednesday 24th, February 2016.

Vawdrey Australia has announced that the entire roof of its Victorian facility in Dandenong is now covered with solar panels – making for one of Victoria’s largest photovoltaic installations.

According to Vawdrey Australia, the new solar panel system, installed above its repair shop, panel building section as well as main factory, will allow the trailer builder to generate its own electricity and thereby dramatically reduce carbon emissions.

“The ability to actively reduce our emissions and overall environmental footprint gives us a huge advantage over our competitors, which is such an important consideration these days,” said Paul Vawdrey, National Sales Director at Vawdrey Australia.

He added that the thousands of solar panels now in service have created “one of the largest solar systems ever built in Victoria”.
