3M and the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) have announced that entries for the 3M-ACRS Diamond Road Safety Award will officially open on 1 April 2012. This is the second year the two companies have hosted this award.
The 3M-ACRS Diamond Road Safety Award calls for any road safety practitioner from the public or private sector to submit highly innovative, cost-effective road safety initiatives/programs which they have recently developed that stand out from normal practice and deliver significant improvements in road safety for the community.
All entries will be judged by an independent committee of industry representatives, established by the ACRS specifically for this award.
The winning entry will be announced at the ACRS Road Safety Conference Dinner in Sydney on 9 August 2012. All eligible members of the winning project will be presented with the award.
An individual team leader from the winning project will receive a trip to the USA to attend the 43rd ATSSA Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in San Diego, California in February 2013. They will then travel to 3M Company Headquarters in St Paul, Minnesota to learn more about 3M’s incredible technologies and innovative solutions.
