Southern Cross Transport Equipment Group continues its vision to expand and invest within the transport industry focusing on premium transport equipment and excellence in customer service by promoting Alf De Fazio as General Manager of Southern Cross Vans Pty Ltd.
This newly created position has come about due to the continued growth and success of Southern Cross Vans over the last six years, in which it has become one of the major suppliers of refrigerated transport equipment in Australia.
“Alf has been with the company from the beginning in 2004, when the Victorian manufacturing facility commenced operation. He is a valued partner within our group; and he has admirably filled the role of Sales & Marketing Manager. He has been a prime mover in increasing our vans business and overall recognition within both Australia’s and New Zealand’s transport industries. Alf’s vast experience will benefit both existing and new customers; bringing a new level of customer focus that Southern Cross Transport Equipment Group is committed to deliver. Alf is ready to take the next step in his career and will fulfil the company’s succession needs in this very important part of our business structure,” said Managing Director Col Deverson.
“I look forward to this next stage in my career and believe that Southern Cross Vans has now established itself as one of the leading suppliers of refrigerated transport equipment in Australia. I will continue to work ‘hands on’ and be involved in all parts of the business, being available to all our customers,” said Alf. “Southern Cross Vans has now entered into a new era, working with both owner drivers and multinational companies, and is set to push forward and continue offering premium, customised, reliable, and lowest whole-of-life-cost refrigerated equipment. We will engage our customers’ requirements to provide value equipment to suit their operation,” said Alf.
