Established in 1988, Black Mount is a proud Australian owned family business. With depots located throughout Australia, the fleet comprises more than 35 tanker combinations, including purpose-built tankers with the capability to deliver from 28,000 litres to 60,000 litres.
A pristine fleet of mainly Tieman stainless steel, food grade water tankers have become their trademark reflecting the quality of their naturally pure spring water.
Black Mount’s spring water sources are located throughout Australia, in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland (Brisbane / Gold Coast), South Australia and Western Australia (Perth).
Tieman was first to introduce the Performance-Based Standards (PBS) 26m s/s water tri tandem tri A-double combination with Black Mount in 2017. And now another first for the Tieman / Black Mount partnership with the first 30m water tri tandem tri A-double combination maximising payloads at 85.5 tonnes Gross Combination Mass (GCM).
The 30m combinations deliver a water payload of up to 60,000 litres from water sources north and south of Sydney to water processing plants in Western Sydney. For best access and swept path each combination is fitted with a steer axle on each axle group. Tieman’s point mounted ringed design ensures the absolute best payload is achieved. The chassis less design allows easy maintenance and visual inspections to be carried out.
Tieman manufactures all of its liquid tankers in Australia – their built-in quality reflects the Black Mount image with the partnership now extending more than three decades.
Innovation continues to drive the Tieman tanker business and with the increasing uptake of PBS across Australia, new configurations with game changing payload gains is seeing strong investment with Tieman across the many industry sectors it services. Whether it’s carrying milk, wine, water, other food grade products, chemical, bitumen, fuel, waste oil, molasses or dry bulk products, Tieman is leading the tanker industry in PBS innovation.
