Victorian tanker specialist, Byford, unveiled a Performance Based Standards (PBS) approved A-double tanker at last week’s International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show in Melbourne.
The PBS A-double is part of Byford’s ‘Maxless’ campaign that promotes “maximum payload, maximum access, less axles, and less turning circle.”
According to the Moama-based company, the development of the new PBS tanker that has the potential to ‘revolutionize’ the commercial transport industry.
Both tankers have a capacity of 26,750 litres and are connected via a steerable dolly. Each tanker can boast a steerable rear axle to maximise manoeuvrability.
