CIMC Vehicle Australia has teamed up with automotive lighting expert LED Technologies to form a strong local partnership. “With industry leading service, quality and warranty, the new partnership will help continue CIMC’s tradition of exceeding customer expectations,” says CIMC Vehicle Australia’s General Manager, Hector Ojea.
In line with the Group’s strategic expansion plan, CIMC Vehicle Australia is about to gear up and grow its market share in Australia. “The company can draw back on over 50 years of experience in the Australian market and prides itself on being at the forefront of research and design on a global scale, thus delivering longer lasting, better performing products to its loyal clientele,” says Hector, promising a new level of quality and service that will set new industry standards in 2012.
To achieve that goal, CIMC Vehicle Australia has now appointed Thomastown-based LED Technologies official supplier of lighting equipment. Along with their sister company, Marshall Lethlean, CIMC Vehicle Australia decided to source all lighting gear locally to ensure a high quality standard and ADR compliance.
“Dealing with a local manufacturer is an obvious advantage,” says Hector. “It enables us to work closely together and develop solutions that can make a real difference. In addition to this OE collaboration, we will also have access to a vast range of LED automotive lamps to service our aftermarket clientele.”
Australian-owned LED Technologies has already established a proven, Australia-wide distribution network since its inception in 2003, and is committed to support CIMC Vehicle Australia customers so that they are never far from help if needed.
“In addition, LED Technologies operates manufacturing bases and sales organisations across three continents and is cementing itself as a leader in solid state LED lighting around the globe,” says Hector. “They are a global player that has chosen a local approach, just like CIMC Vehicle Group.”
According to LED Technologies’ General Manager, David Clerk, “LED Technologies was the first company in Australia to derive its sole income from automotive LED products, which gives us the competitive advantage of being the country’s first LED experts.
“With 44 registered designs, two US design patents and a lifetime warranty offer, we have certainly shown a level of commitment that is yet to be matched by our competitors”, he adds.
The reason why David is so confident in the quality and lifetime of LED Technologies’ product range is a special blend of resin used to pot the LED chip. “We have our own, registered resin that is proven to dissipate heat faster and stand up to the tough vibrations caused in Australian conditions, thus increasing product reliability and lifetime.”
Recently, LED Technologies has invested heavily in local Research & Design, and now has a full LED lamp production line operating in Thomastown. “We are proud to have Australian made products in our range, and we have already proven that we can compete in price with our competition made overseas”, said David.
“LED Technologies is able to deliver the service levels needed and expected by a global OE manufacturer,” Hector concludes. “This also includes individual design and product specification needs, new and unique lighting solutions, and exceptional service for us at CIMC Vehicle Australia. In fact, LED Technologies also offers full wiring loom solutions that complete a plug and play system for reducing OE production times, easy retro fits and increasing product reliability.”
