Tail lift specialist, Dhollandia, has released new folding safety gates that can be fitted as part of its slide lifts. The new feature was unveiled at the recently concluded International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show in Melbourne.
“The Show is not only a chance to let everyone know we are now selling into the market directly, but that we have enhanced the safety features of our tail lifts,” says Jeff Aitken, General Manager of Dhollandia Australia.
“This was designed by the engineers back in Belgium and we’re the only manufacturer that can fit this new type of folding safety gates on our slider range. It’s definitely a first for the Australian market.”
According to Dhollandia, the safety gates are mounted on the left and right side of the platform, and equipped with a rotating foot that allows the drivers to load and unload over the side of the platform. The gates can be rotated from a longitudinal position, offering adequate protection against falling when standing on the raising and lowering platform, to a lateral position that enables side access to the ground or to the curb.
