Suburban Towing Equipment is a family owned tilt tray manufacturing company that has been servicing the Australian trailer and towing markets for over 25 years. The business specialises in supplying new and used tow trucks and heavy tilt slide trays and bodies.
Its Mulgrave workshop is fully equipped to carry out all types of modifications and repairs, meanwhile its spare parts section carries a wide range of accessories to enhance the look of their trucks which includes chains, ratchets and lights.
Since 2018 Suburban Towing has been utilising Lucidity Australia’s products with great success. “We use Lucidity’s Glo Trac Series LED lights which consist of Rear Combination Lamps, Side Marker Lamps plus Lucidity design and manufacture all of our wiring harnesses in Victoria.
We have also increased the range of harnesses we get from Lucidity, they will now be doing around 95 per cent of all out electrical work by January 2022,” says Suburban Towing Equipment Director, Aaron Barrett.
Lucidity’s 22033 range of LED Rear Combination lamps and 26275 Chrome Marker Lamps feature a unique Glo Trac light pattern and heavy-duty wire outlet for ease of mounting.
“Our workshop is well set up for manufacturing of truck bodies,” Aaron says.
“We also do truck repairs whether it is electrical, hydraulics, welding or fabrication. The electrical parts play a big part in the tow truck and trailer industries because everyone likes lots of flashing lights, we probably fit more lights to tow trucks to what anyone else does on other trucks.
“One of the reasons we switched to Lucidity in 2018 was the price and technical in-house expertise and craftsmanship they were offering compared to some of the other similar products we were using at the time. More importantly they do a much better job with their harnesses. They use better and newer technology in their lighting systems which was the main reason for our move.”
