Excellence by design

With a history dating back over half a century, Fort Vale has established itself as a leading global producer of valves and related equipment used in the transfer of liquids by road, rail and sea.

When it comes to the safe and efficient transport of liquids, particularly flammable or other dangerous goods (DG) liquids, it’s imperative that the equipment used in transferring the product from the terminal to the transporting vessel and from the transporting vessel to the end user provides reliable and leak-proof containment.

As for the companies that install, repair and maintain this equipment for end user clients, being able to depend on the precision build quality of Fort Vale products is paramount to the current and future success of their businesses.

In short, using products that are robust and reliable for a long period of heavy-duty use makes good business sense in terms of retaining satisfied customers who generally return for repeat business in the future.

For Dragon Crncevic, Head of Operations of the tanker service and repair facility Western Tankers Melbourne, the decision to continue using Fort Vale products on his customer’s tankers is an easy one because he rarely has any issues.

“I’ve really had no dramas with Fort Vale – the equipment is very reliable and the company representatives are easy to communicate with and readily available whenever I need to talk with them,” Dragon says.

“Our work includes everything from refurbishing and refit work to major structural repairs and we’ve found Fort Vale equipment lasts very well and generally only needs to be replaced due to accident damage.”

Meanwhile up north, it’s a similar sentiment from Tracey Gee who along with husband Shane Gee runs Acacia Ridge Container Park west of Brisbane.

“We did try another brand of valves for a while but returned to Fort Vale because the quality and design are clearly superior, providing the long-lasting leak-free results our customers demand,” Tracey says.

“I take care of the accounts for the business and Fort Vale is really professional in their approach to our business which makes things run smoothly for me in terms of administrative duties.

“Now that Fort Vale has a branch in Australia I’ve found it a lot easier to get hold of the right person to help me when necessary.”

Acacia Ridge Container Park services ISO tanks used for intermodal (road, rail and sea) transport of liquids. To comply with relevant Australian standards these tanks are regularly pressure tested to ensure complete product containment.

“The reliability and durability of Fort Vale products ensure that the integrity of the ISO tanks we service is maintained to the highest standard,” Tracey concludes.
