The BulkEX has become Bruce Rock Engineering’s (BRE) flagship grain tipper offering since its release at the end of 2024.
Introducing a fresh and further innovative fit-for-purpose design for transporting grain, fertiliser and other lightweight materials, it’s the first full redesign of BRE’s grain tipper in over 30 years – a ground-up re-engineering that prioritises durability, simplicity and real-world performance.
The BulkEX features a single-piece body made from 3mm Hardox 450, offering significantly improved wear resistance and structural strength over previous builds using high tensile steel. This choice of material supports longer service life and better resilience in tough operating conditions, making it ideal for Australian bulk haulage.
Designed with a modular approach, the BulkEX supports a wide range of standard trailer configurations including 26m B-double, 30m A-double and 36.5m AB/BA-triple combinations. This flexibility allows operators to select the setup that best suits their transport requirements without sacrificing build consistency or strength.
The model also incorporates a host of upgraded standard features. These include greaseless tail-gate hinges, stainless steel grain doors with nylon slides for smooth operation, telescoping tarp handles and stainless steel scuff plates in high-contact areas. Together, these additions stream-line day-to-day operation while reducing maintenance needs.
A revised body profile improves material cleanout and discharge efficiency, while a reduced hoist well area enhances weight distribution. Importantly, the BulkEX retains BRE’s signature bowl shape, now with increased cubic capacity and no increase in tare weight, allowing operators to maximise payloads without compromising performance.
BRE’s fresh streamlined BulkEX design takes the complexity out of quoting and production, helping deliver the same high standard of build across more combinations ensuring customers get a well-engineered trailer every time.
