The long trip down from Mount Rowan proved to be a worthwhile journey for David Henderson of Henderson Haulage, who won a brand new set of PBS-tested Chao Yang tyres courtesy of Premium Tyre Wholesale’s (PTW) tyre competition held at the 2012 ITTES.
The set of 12 Chao Yang tyres, worth up to $4000, was presented to David by PTW’s National OEM & Sales Manager Wayne Hicks, on the final day of the ITTES.
“We have a couple of truck and dog on PBS trailers, and we wanted to get a hold of some PBS tyres, so what better way than to put our names in. Luckily, we ended up winning a set of them,” explains David who operates a mixed fleet of tipper truck and trailer combinations that service a broad spectrum of clients within the transport industry, both locally and interstate.
David, who plans to use the new tyres on his company’s four-axle dog trailer, could not have been happier with his winnings. “Premium Tyre Wholesale do a great job of getting the PBS message across to people throughout the transport industry,” he says. “I find the PBS-tested tyres that PTW provide are ideal for my business since I have a couple of trailers with carrying capacities of 40 tonne a load.”
After a successful display of the Chao Yang range at the ITTES, as well as the competition that drew a slew of visitors who entered, PTW hopes purchasing of the PBS-tested Chao Yang brand will increase rapidly going forward. So far, the effect seems to have resonated well with Henderson Haulage. “Since the competition, I have bought more than 20 tyres from them, and I certainly plan to buy more,” says David.
