Spearheading Hiab Australia’s display at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show will be the new Hiab Hydraulic Front Locking system that can be fitted to Hiab Multilift hook lifts – an ideal solution for industries such as waste and recycling.
Also on display will be the full range of Hiab cranes, Moffett truck mounted forklifts, Maxilift and Unic cranes. The Hiab range is suited to industries such as transport, mining, construction, distribution, forestry, warehousing, waste and recycling and defence.
According to Hiab Australia, the new Hydraulic Front Locking system that will be on show is the “perfect compliment” for the Hiab Multilift hook lifts, with the locking system able to be factory-fitted or retrofitted to all Hiab XR series hooklifts.
“Once fitted, the load is secured at three locking points, which means greater control of the load. The additional hydraulic body locks assist in keeping the loaded container stable during the transport of the load,” said Steve Coonan, National Sales Manager for Hiab Australia.
“When a vehicle has a loader crane fitted, the front body locks will also keep the tray, bin or container fixed during the crane’s operations.”
In addition, Hiab Australia says the locks will open and close automatically if the option ‘automatic sequence controls’ is active for the hook lift. The entire sequence can be performed automatically by activating a single function on the controller. If necessary, the operator can also switch between manual and automatic control of the loading or unloading sequence at any stage of the process giving operators even more control of the unit.
Hiab is part of the global company Cargotec whose network of load handing solutions includes Hiab truck mounted cranes, Unic and Maxilift Cranes, Multilift Hooklifts and Moffett truck mounted forklifts.
