Load handling equipment expert, Hiab, showcased an extensive range at the 2014 International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show (ITTES) held in Melbourne last week – including its portfolio of Hiab loader cranes, Multilift hooklifts and Moffett truck mounted forklifts.
According to Hiab, the Hiab 422 crane with its 30-metre reach drew plenty of attention from the crowd. The unit was mounted to a Volvo 6×4 owned by Victorian constrction company, Rosemont Constructions.
“We purchased the Hiab 422 crane in August 2013. The guys recommended we fit a jib and at first we were sceptical but I have not taken it off – it’s perfect for us,” said David Campanaro, Director of Rosemont Constructions.
Hiab also displayed a 25T multi-rail hooklift loader that was fitted to an 8×4 truck, which was positioned at the front of the Hiab stand. “This particular truck hook combination is very popular and we had very strong interest at the show,” said Steve Coonan, Hiab National Sales Manager.
“The show was a great success. We had strong interest in the products we had on display and it was a great opportunity for the Hiab team to catch up with customer’s and people in the industry.”
In addition, Hiab used the 2014 ITTES to launch its new global brand direction and product promise titled, 'Built to Perform'.
“This year Hiab celebrates their 70th anniversary and Multilift their 65th,” said Nicola Anderson, Brand Manager of Hiab Australia. “The Hiab brand is a strong and powerful brand steeped in history. The new brand direction is back in black. Black is a strong colour and represents the strength of our products that are Built to Perform.”
