Tanker specialist, Holmwood Highgate, in conjunction with South American stainless steel fabricator, Tersainox, have completed the development of a new stainless steel vacuum tanker.
“This vacuum tanker demonstrates our ability to adapt to the different requirements of the transport market, which has been a trademark of Holmwood Highgate’s for almost a century,” said Wayne Crowe, Holmwood Highgate Sales/Business Development.
According to Holmwood Highgate, the stainless steel vacuum tanker can pneumatically load liquids and has been specifically built for an off-road application used to extract and transport waste oil exploration products.
The stainless steel barrel is mounted to a rigid truck and can hold up to 15,000 litres in a single compartment, while incorporating full internal baffles. “Barrel protection was high priority, but at the same time keeping the unit as robust as possible,” Crowe said. “The tank mounts are a heavy-duty, yet flexible design allowing for some tank movement whilst the truck is travelling due to the harsh off-road environment.”
In addition, the tanker was fitted with a non-slip coating, access ladder that follows the contours of the barrel. Holmwood also built in a large stainless steel toolbox directly mounted to the truck chassis.
