Transport Certification Australia (TCA), the organisation administering the Intelligent Access Program (IAP) has recently become aware of several companies mistakenly claiming IAP certification.
TCA Chief Executive Officer, Chris Koniditsiotis said that TCA wanted to make it clear that, “IAP services and equipment can only be provided by IAP Service Providers certified through TCA.
“The IAP brand has become a valued commodity because of its reputation for delivering type approved in-vehicle units and certified IAP services. IAP certification means an independently assessed service meeting the stringent requirements for monitoring and reporting under the IAP. Unfortunately when fleet-management companies mistakenly claim IAP certification they create confusion.”
