To draw a close to a successful 2013, Jost Australia’s Brisbane branch has released a snapshot of its very own “Movember” team.
Bob Martin, Phil Little, Sal Tulua, Damien Carruthers, Junior Tavae and Tim Justice committed to growing a moustache in aid of the Movember charity, which supports men with cancer, specifically prostate and testicular cancers.
“Movember is all about growing a moustache, raising funds and raising awareness for men’s health, particularly Prostate Cancer,” said Bob Martin, Area Manager for QLD, NT & PNG.
“I suggested we give this a go and nearly all our guys jumped straight on board and got into the spirit of Movember”, said Martin. “Some much needed funds were raised and we thank those who kindly donated.”
According to Movember, 1 in 2 Australian men will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. The charity therefore aims to improve men’s health by putting a fun twist on the serious issue.
“Using the moustache as a catalyst, we want to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to learn and talk about their health more openly and take action.”
