Transport equipment supplier, Jost Australia, is branching out into the wheel market.
“Many people are unaware that we have branched out into the wheel market,” says Ben Crowther, Jost Australia’s Product Manager, Wheel Products.
Only introduced in 2013, the competitively priced Jost wheel range comes with a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty, according to Crowther.
Part of the new product line is the ‘Superchrome’ series of alloy wheels, which is triple nickel-plated to provide reliable corrosion and rust resistance.
On the back of the foray into the wheel market, Jost is now stocking the ‘Safetytrim’ – a preventative wheel management solution. “It’s safe to say this Jost exclusive product will change the way people see wheel safety,” Crowther said.
“The Safetytrim fits a 335 or 285 PCD, 10-nut stud pattern wheel and prevents the nuts from loosening more than a fraction of a turn. When it does loosen, it indicates it with a bright yellow spot.
In addition, Jost has now secured exclusive rights to distribute a new tyre pressure indicator. “This indicator is designed to be a simple way to monitor tyre pressure,” Ben says. “The valve fits to the tyre to sense the air pressure, and once set it will flash red when the tyre pressure drops below an unacceptable level.”
