Cargo Freight Services (CFS) has appointed Kathryn Toey as Business Development Manager.
CFS is a privately-owned Australian freight transport company specialising in road transport, wharf cartage, container handling, warehousing and distribution.
Established in 2008, it operates a fleet of more than 100 trailer combinations to suit all cargo and container requirements and over 60 mass-managed company trucks.
Toey joins the business after spending eight years at Arrow Transport as well as a series of other roles in the industry prior to that.
At CFS, her primary focus will be nurturing and strengthening relationships with existing accounts – ensuring every client has a dedicated and reliable point of contact they can trust.
She will also be working strategically to grow the business in a considered and sustainable way, with service being the foremost priority.
Toey told Trailer she decided to join CFS because it “felt like the right opportunity at the right moment”.
“My life had gone through a significant and wonderful change after recently welcoming a new baby, and I needed a role that was better suited to my circumstances,” she said.
“What struck me most about CFS was that the company saw the value in me as a person, not simply as a candidate for a vacancy.
“That kind of culture is something I look for in an employer, and knowing it was sitting at the very heart of the business made it an easy decision.
“It also felt less like accepting a job offer and more like joining something I genuinely believed in.”
Toey brings a personal touch underpinned by loyalty, honesty and a strong commitment to the people and businesses she works with to the business.
“I am very much a hands-on professional, and I treat every account as though it were my own,” she told Trailer.
