Victorian trailer manufacturer, Kennedy Trailers will reveal its new tri-axle Truck Transporter at the upcoming International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show (ITTES) in April.
“To illustrate its capability, the lightweight low loader will be mounted with two prime movers,” said Cory Kennedy, Customer Service & Sales at Kennedy Trailers.
According to Kennedy, a key feature of the Truck Transporter is the on-board ramp that is used to drive the truck onto the front of the trailer. The ramp can then be raised to a set position to accommodate both the truck on the front and the second truck, which is backed up onto the trailer.
“Accommodating the low ride height of some of the highway trucks, we built the ramps with a seven-degree incline,” Kennedy says. “The trailer also uses York Dura Trac Suspension with York 17.5 Drum Brake Axles, while Domex steel was used to construct the chassis and deck.”
