Queensland-based transport company, Curtis Transport, has taken delivery of a new tri-axle, 45-foot curtain-sider trailer built by Krueger and fitted with its innovative “Lock ’n’ Load” load buckle-less, air-operated automatic curtain system.
“The Lock ‘n’ Load system is load restraint rated and NTC compliant, and that’s really what it boiled down to,” said Curtis Transport Director, Mark Curtis. “The quicker I can get this trailer into action, the better it is for my business and Krueger has the requirements in place that allows me to achieve that.”
The key features of Krueger's Lock ‘n’ Load system include an air-operated push button modular design, as well as a lightweight, high strength carbon fibre sections integrated into the curtain's structure. To further increase the speed of loading times, the load restraint system eliminates the need for side gates, load binders and gate barriers.
“In addition, it’s easy to operate, reduces OH&S issues especially when I no longer need to physically insert gates and binders,” Curtis added. “I did look at a number of trailer builders on the market, but I kept coming back to Krueger because I’m familiar with their trailers and I’ve always found their equipment to be ultra-consistent in terms of good customer service and reliable trailers.”
