The CIMC Australia Road Transport Equipment Group (CARTE) has introduced a new aluminium silo bulk tipping tanker built by Belgian sister company, LAG Trailers, to the Australian market.
“Our tankers utilise proven designs, offering strength combined with a lighter tare weight. This means more payload for our customers, which is the main objective for all our clients. However, we want to prove that we can offer more solutions as a tanker expert,” said Michael Ly, Sales Engineer of Marshall Lethlean, CARTE's tanker division.
“That’s why we worked closely with Belgium’s LAG Trailers on designing a new aluminium silo bulk tipping tanker that is not only modern and lightweight, but comes with a myriad of options to suit most of today’s fleet operators.”
Built from aluminium and measuring up to 13m in length, the tri-axle tipper tanker can achieve a payload capacity of 56.5m3. Other features of the tipping tanker include BPW drum brake axles and airbag suspension, as well as Wabco EBS and roll stability control. The barrel itself is mounted to a specially designed, extruded aluminium chassis – allowing it to sit lower giving the entire vehicle extra stability.
