Victorian transport specialist Lipp’s has recently taken delivery of an aluminium tri tip over axle semi-tipper built by Hercules designed specifically for transporting bulk grain.
“What stood out immediately was the overall length of the tipper which is 10.4 metres by 1.88 metres in height,” said Managing director, Alfred Lipp.
The Hercules semi-tipper design is constructed from high tensile aluminium plates and is designed to transfer a high volume of grain at 45.5 tonnes.
“This model gives us an extra 4-5 tonnes which now allows us to really maximise the payload of each run, a luxury we didn’t have before,” said Darren Jean of Progress Trailer Sales, Hercules’ authorised trailer dealer.
“Lipp’s required a greater angle of tip, which Hercules responded to by producing a trailer that has been engineered to tip at a 52-degree angle for quicker discharge, where our previous tippers can only go up to 47-degrees.”
In addition, the semi-tipper also features BPW axles with Eco hubs and airbag suspension, Edbro CS series telescopic hoist, roll over tarp and Alcoa aluminium wheels.
