Moffett’s new remote control Ground Mount system allows the operator to mount and dismount the forklift from the truck while standing on the ground and by simply pushing three buttons on a hand held control unit. No more climbing onto the truck and strapping in.
The Moffett can be dismounted from the truck in less than 60 seconds and all from the safety and comfort of ground level. The operator simply enters a security code into the remote control, pushes three buttons and the forklift is on the ground.
With Moffett’s new Ground Mount remote control, there is no need to climb onto the truck or the forklift, so there is less risk of injury and the operator can stand at a safe distance while using the remote control. As an added safety measure, the forklift’s park brake is automatically engaged whenever the remote control is in use.
The new remote control system provides the most benefit when the forklift is mounted on a truck or trailer with high clearance or greater chassis height. The greater the mounting height, the more difficult access can be for the driver. The Ground Mount remote control removes the access factor for higher chassis vehicles and makes the forklift mount/ dismount process simple and safe.
