Cargotec Australia has reached an agreement to sell the existing Cargotec Darwin and Adelaide Load Handling Service businesses to RGM Maintenance. The sale of the Darwin branch is effective 1 August 2012 and 1 September 2012 for Adelaide.
“The strategy behind this decision is to improve business efficiency and strengthen our customer service to our Load Handling customers in both Darwin and Adelaide,” said Peter McLean, Vice President Australia & New Zealand.
RGM is an Australian Owned company and are Australian Military vehicle sustainment specialists for through life support. Using only OEM parts and certified ISO9001:2008, RGM pride themselves on providing expert guidance and consistent high quality and value for money service.
The company currently has three facilities around Australia – Brisbane, Townsville and Darwin (and a Field Service site in Katherine) and employs 55 staff nationally, made up of a highly experienced contingent of qualified and certified providersof mechanical solutions, particularly to the defence industry.
“The Darwin branch will initially continue to operate at the current site in Yarrawonga, but will be integrating into RGM’s local facility at Winnellie. The Adelaide business will continue to operate at our current site in Wingfield,” said Peter. “Sales for Load Handling equipment will be retained by Cargotec Australia.
“We are confident this new partnership will further strengthen our service offering to our Load Handling customers providing them with access to some of the highest quality service facilities in Australia and a network of highly skilled and technically competent service professionals.
