New South Wales–based trucking company, AJM Transport, has recently taken delivery of four drop deck B-double Titeliner combinations from Vawdrey Australia as a result of business growth to complement an order of Kenworth K200 prime movers.

The trailers, according to AJM Transport Group General Manager, Dennis Roohan, are 34' drop deck configurations with a capacity for 68 pallets, featuring mezzanine decks, VDL Weweler suspension and axles with parallel hubs.

"From a safety perspective Electronic Braking Systems (EBS) on our equipment have been a great addition, we get great service from Air Brake Systems and Glenn Hambleton has ensured our team has all the right gear to correctly maintain and ensure the system is always working as it should," said Roohan.

"The customers love the full-length mezzanine decks and the outstanding cubic capacity these units offer," he said.

These new truck-trailer combinations are expected to carry general freight between Melbourne and Brisbane.

AJM Transport specialises in overnight express transport.

"We operate our Brisbane / Melbourne routes on a shuttle schedule which gives the customer a 22-hour service between these two centres," said Roohan. "Additionally, we also operate express services between Brisbane & Darwin, employing two-up teams to complete this task."

AJM Transport has exclusively specified Vawdrey equipment for the past decade which is based on their relationship between Paul Vawdrey and Justin Simmonds.

"Vawdrey's finished products are outstanding," said Roohan. "We have such high utilisation from our equipment that Vawdrey trailers stand up extremely well. We still have our first Vawdrey in operation showing no signs of fatigue. We operate our own workshop, however if a breakdown does occur, the team at Vawdrey are always available to assist and understand our business model so the speed and accuracy of the repairs needs to be spot on."
